FROM THE PRINCIPAL OF LATHAMS MUSIC

Lathams Music has been my family business for as long as I can remember … and longer. Archibald O. Latham, (born 1900) my Grandfather, started his career in Hunter Street during the 1920's, managing Palings Pianos.

Today, Lathams Music continues into the future, opening 2 new stores in Kotara and Greenhills, providing the very best advice to many passionate musicians (such as yourself) in Newcastle and the Hunter Region.

Lathams is synonymous with Pianos and Print Music, and the best quality service in the Music Industry. You will benefit from our pride in being an approachable team, caring and considerate to your every musical need. Many of our customers show us great loyalty, and for that I am genuinely appreciative. Thank You.

Recently, Lathams Music have left the "Westfield" building, but we're very much alive and kicking…moving to a much larger premise at 4/6 Bradford Close, Kotara (near Rays Outdoors, behind Clark Rubber, opposite OTP House Medical Centre). Our Park Avenue Piano Showroom (near McDonalds) also making this move.

It is here you will continue to receive the very best of service, and benefit from our expansion into fields we have to date, not fully explored, such as Piano and Guitar Tuition, Early Childhood Music, and a larger range of Guitars and Drums. As always, Simon and Jerome are not too far away to answer your questions, and are you guru guides on guitars, amps and drums. Joan or Grant will place you gently with the piano of your dreams; and Kieran, Libby, James, Gen, Sam, Beau or Harry will be on hand to point you in the right direction, or find whatever it is you need.

If music tuition is what you are looking for, we have the best…..no really! Loryn, our Clavinova teacher, is without a doubt one of a kind. Lessons are available with her on Thursday afternoon/evenings, or Saturday morning. Guitar lessons with Stuart   Dip.Ed. on Thursday or Friday afternoons, or Saturday mornings, and Bass lessons with passionate bassist Mark are also on the cards. Please remember to ring for a booking, as places fill fast coming into the New Year.

In addition to the Kotara expansion, I am pleased to announce my decision to open a division in Greenhills, East Maitland, on Molly Morgan Drive. Many of our Hunter Region clients are deservedly pleased with this news, and again, I continue to be extremely grateful to the loyalty the people of the Hunter have shown Lathams Music over so many years. Thank You.

Located next to Stockland Greenhills Shopping Centre, at 11 Molly Morgan Drive, (next to the Georges Tavern and Anytime Fitness), Hunter clients will benefit from another full-line Lathams Music store. The same friendly staff will drive this store, with Tracey (a Lathams Team Member for 17 years and a Maitland Girl to boot!), Andy S. and Andy B. overseeing your piano, guitar, band and drumming requirements. We'd like to welcome Tim to the team for the next 6 months, while he enjoys work placement with us, and Phillipa returns to bless us with her very talented musical presence on Piano and Strings.

I guarantee you will experience first hand the passion each of our Team Members has for music and exemplary customer service, which will make your experience shopping at Lathams Music very rewarding indeed.
